Is this for you?

Where rest becomes treatment.

We live at a fast pace and ignore the body until it asks loudly — through pain, broken sleep, tension that won't release. Below are the patterns guests bring most often, and how each programme responds.

"Eight hours of sleep. Still no rest."

A doctor-guided programme that restores natural rhythms. Most guests notice deeper sleep, steadier energy, and a calmer emotional baseline.

"Tired in ways that don't show up on tests."

Pulse diagnosis listens to early signals — digestion, sleep, the rhythm of energy — and shapes a personalised programme around what your body is telling us.

"Diets, supplements, protocols — no movement."

Classical Panchakarma works at the foundation. When the cause is addressed, the changes hold long after you go home.

"Years of running on reserves."

Twenty-one days of full purification and rejuvenation offers the time needed to rebuild from the foundation up, restoring lasting clarity and vitality.

Shorter on time?

Start with one focus

Five short, doctor-led therapies — designed as 4–10 day courses — for guests who can't stay two weeks. Each begins with Dr. Chandramali, and any can grow into a fuller programme when you're ready.

I

The Breath & Sinus Session

Clear the head. Breathe like you mean it.

Traditional Nasya care — warm herbal oils, gentle steam and slow attention to the head and sinuses. A clearing, breath-focused ritual rooted in classical Ayurveda. Many guests describe leaving feeling lighter and clearer.

For you ifyou feel congested, react to the seasons, or snore through the night.
II

The Burnout Reset

For the nights your mind won't go quiet.

Slow, warm-oil bodywork and deep-rest therapies designed to help an overworked body unwind — easing the tension that settles into the shoulders and jaw. A deeply restful experience, built around slowing right down.

For you ifyour mind won't switch off, sleep is shallow, and stress sits in your body.
III

The Gut Reset

Lightness, from the inside out.

Gentle digestive therapies and clean, warming food — ideal after long flights, time-zone changes and rich travel meals, when digestion feels heavy and sluggish. Designed to leave you feeling lighter.

For you iftravel, heavy eating or irregular digestion have left you feeling weighed down.
IV

Netra — Ayurvedic Eye Care

Rest for eyes that never get a break.

Netra Tarpana — the classical ritual where cooling, medicated ghee gently bathes the eyes. A deeply calming reset for eyes left tired, dry and strained by screens, sun and long travel days — the kind of rest your eyes rarely get.

For you iflong screen days leave your eyes tired, dry and strained. An age guideline applies, confirmed at consultation.
V

The Beauty Ritual

Glow that starts beneath the skin.

Ayurvedic facials, herbal hair therapies and nourishing oils — a nourishing, head-to-skin ritual caring for hair and skin the traditional way, working from within rather than only on the surface.

For you ifyou've noticed thinning or falling hair, dull skin, or shadows under your eyes.
VI

The Day Pass

Already nearby? Come up for air.

A full doctor-led Ayurvedic day on the southern coast — a consultation with Dr. Chandramali, two hours of treatments, an Ayurvedic lunch, and the rest of the day to rest by the pool.

For you ifyou're travelling Sri Lanka and want one real Ayurvedic day — not a spa hour.

What guests notice most

The shifts you'll feel

Classical Ayurvedic treatment works at the foundation. The changes tend to stay with you long after you leave.

Deeper sleep

Helps the body return to deep sleep. Most guests notice a clear shift within the first week, experiencing fewer nightly wake-ups and much easier mornings.

Returning energy

As the rhythm of the programme takes hold, the steady return of vitality and focus is the most common thing guests describe.

Calmer daily life

Treatments, nourishment and quiet time create a felt shift in how everyday stress lands — the system simply has more room.

Lasting lightness

The lightness you feel at Palm Garden tends to travel home with you, staying with you as a gentle anchor as you return to your daily routine.

Health & treatment
Who carries out the treatments?
Treatments are always carried out by same-gender therapists — women are treated by female therapists, men by male therapists. Every treatment plan is designed and overseen by Dr. Chandramali.
Do I need to see my own doctor before coming?
For most guests coming for general fatigue or rest, no prior consultation is needed. If you have a chronic condition, are pregnant, or take regular medication, mention it when you write to us and we'll pass it to Dr. Chandramali before you arrive. A full consultation with her takes place at the start of your stay.
Can I come if I'm pregnant, on medication, or have a chronic condition?
Ayurvedic treatments aren't recommended during pregnancy, so we wouldn't run a programme at that time. For chronic conditions, Ayurveda can often help — bring your records, and Dr. Chandramali looks for the root of the issue and works alongside your existing treatment, never against it. If you take regular medication, keep taking it and tell us in advance so we can plan around the timings.
Is Panchakarma safe? What if I've reacted badly to detoxes before?
Classical Panchakarma isn't a detox in the modern sense — no juice fasting, no shock to the system. The body unloads slowly over weeks, with full meals throughout. If past detoxes haven't agreed with you, that's important context for Dr. Chandramali — the answer is almost always to go slower, not to stop.
What if I have a flare-up, my period, or something unexpected during the programme?
Treatments adapt. During menstruation, internal cleansings (basti) pause while external treatments continue. For any acute pain or unexpected reaction, Dr. Chandramali sees you daily and the plan shifts that morning — nothing here is fixed in stone.
The programme
What's the difference between Detox and Panchakarma?
Detox (5–7 days) is a reset — the body unloads accumulated tension, sleep deepens, digestion settles. Panchakarma (10, 14 or 21 days) is the classical, step-by-step programme — deeper work, renewal, internal cleansings, longer protocols. Detox brings you back to baseline; Panchakarma changes the baseline.
Can I extend if 7 days feels too short?
Yes, and many do. If you arrive on a 7-day programme and want to go deeper, we extend in place — same room, same rate, no rebooking fee.
When can I start? Are there set dates?
Any day of the week. Programmes are individual, not group-scheduled — we plan around your arrival.
Can my partner come without doing the programme?
Yes. A partner stays as a regular guest in your room on a bed & breakfast rate, with no programme cost — just book the room for two. They join you for meals, walks, the beach and the grounds. The same arrangement works for a family member.
Daily life
What does a typical day look like?
7:30 herbal drink, yoga or pranayama on the deck · 8:30 breakfast · 9:30–12:00 treatments · 12:30–14:00 lunch · afternoon rest, a walk, the ocean or the pool · 16:00 herbal tea · 18:30 dinner · 20:00 onward, quiet. The rhythm is steady, not strict — you're not on a clock.
What's the food like? Can I have meat, coffee or alcohol?
All meals are Ayurvedic and vegetarian, tailored to you after your consultation — three meals a day plus herbal drinks. No meat, coffee or alcohol during the programme, as they work against what the treatments are doing. Afterwards it's your choice — though most guests find they don't want them back for a while.
Are the treatments painful?
No. Most are warm-oil massages (abhyanga), steam, oil pours over the forehead (shirodhara) and warm herbal baths. Internal cleansings (basti) feel unfamiliar but not painful. Anything that doesn't feel right — we stop.
Will I lose weight?
It depends on your programme and your goals, but most guests feel lighter and more energetic as excess water and accumulated toxins leave the body.
Weather & season
When's the best time to come, weather-wise?
Year-round, with two characters. December–April is dry and hot — the high season. May–November is the green season: warm, lush, with some rain. Both work for the programme, and many returning guests prefer the green season.
Should I avoid the monsoon season?
Classical Ayurveda would say the opposite. The monsoon is the recommended season for Panchakarma — the body is more receptive, the pores open, and the cooler air supports deeper work. In practice, rain usually comes at night or early morning; the days are workable and the gardens are at their best.
Getting here & practicalities
How do I get to Palm Garden from the airport?
From Colombo (CMB) it's about 2.5 hours by car; from Mattala (HRI), about 1.5 hours. We arrange the transfer ($70 one way) and your driver meets you in arrivals with a sign.
What should I bring?
Loose, breathable clothes, a swimsuit if you'd like the beach, sandals, and any personal medications. Everything else — towels, robes, oils, toiletries — is provided.
Is there Wi-Fi? Can I work from here?
Wi-Fi is available everywhere, fast enough for video calls. You can work, but the programme does deeper work when you don't — we suggest one to two hours a day, mornings only.
Booking & payment
What's included in the price?
Everything day to day: your room, all meals, doctor consultations, herbal drinks, daily treatments, yoga and pranayama. Not included: flights, airport transfer and optional extras.
What's the cancellation policy? Can I move my dates?
You pay on arrival — in high season, we ask for payment in advance. You can reschedule freely up to 2 days before arrival, at no charge. For a full refund, cancel up to 2 days before arrival (in high season, up to 10 days before). And for anything none of us could predict — illness, family — we're flexible; just talk to us.
How do I pay?
Once we confirm availability and the right programme for you, we send a reservation summary and payment instructions — bank transfer or card. A one-night deposit holds your dates, with the balance due on arrival.
